Dr. Alexander Lygin is a European Patent Attorney (Authorized Representative before the European Patent Office) registered at the European Patent Office and is a member of the European Patent Institute, Tal 29, 80331 München, info@patent.comwww.patentepi.com.

As such, he is subject to the following professional rules::

  • Code of Professional Conduct of the Institute of Professional Representatives admitted to practice at the European Patent Office (can be downloaded under www.patentepi.com „Rules and Regulations“)
  • Regulation on Discipline issued by the Administrative Council of the European Patent Organization

The rules governing conduct do not allow the European Patent Attorney to represent conflicting interests. Therefore, before starting working on any project with a client, it is always checked whether there is a conflict of interest.

Dr. Alexander Lygin is not authorized as a German or any other national patent attorney and is not a member of the German Patent Bar (Patentanwaltskammer) or any similar organization. Therefore, Alexander Lygin’s IP consulting activity is limited to advising exclusively in relation to the European Patent Convention (EPC).
